This amazing period property located on a seaside location belongs to Mr Darren Armstrong who is a serial entrepreneur and a very experienced property developer.
This was one of our more challenging projects due to limited access and lack of space to carry out such an intricate refurbishment.
The property was completely refurbished with only three original walls remaining in place while everything else was carefully demolished. Floors were excavated new drainage installed and well insulated concrete floor was re-laid. The new still structure was erected, to support extension walls all necessary for a quality build as well as meeting national regulations.
Upstairs an open space kitchen and living room was created to give the feeling of space with direct access to garden both from upstairs and downstairs.
We excavated the garden space and the retaining walls were built and to envisage the scale of the work undertaken over 30 skips of soil were removed.
The work at the property was inspected by three independent experts including Paul Thomson owner of SDC Ltd engineering a well-known and highly respected practice from Edinburgh.
All parties were impressed with UPUP builders and assurances of referral work in the future would follow from this project.
